1.Non- preloading or insufficient preloading
When the ball screw without preloading is placed vertically, the nut will rotate and slide down due to its own weight. Therefore, the ball screw without preloading will have a considerable backlash, so it can only be used for machines with small operating resistance, but it is not required for positioning accuracy.
2. Improper selection and installation of bearings
Usually ball screw must be matched with bevel bearing, especially bearing with high pressure angle design is a better choice. Fix the bearing with two locking nuts with spring washers or spacer rings to prevent it from loosening during operation.

3. Support seat surface is uneven
As long as the parallelism or flatness of the surface of the combined component is beyond the tolerance range, the repeatability accuracy of the position of the bed will be poor when it moves, whether it is grinding or shoveling. Therefore, a machine usually uses a thin gasket between the support seat and the machine body to adjust the assembly accuracy.
4. Poor rigidity of nut seat or bearing seat
If the nut seat or bearing seat is not rigid enough, it will be elastically deformed due to the weight of the assembly itself, mechanical load or inertial force generated during mechanical operation, resulting in deflection.
5. Improper combination of motor and ball screw
The coupling is not firmly combined or its rigidity is not good, which will cause the rotation difference between the screw rod and the motor.
